Sustain Recruitment is helping a biogas plant hire a Plant Operator to join their small team full-time in Cardigan. The role comes with a favourable salary and benefits, including a bonus scheme.

As a Plant Operator, you will carry out a range of operations to process organic waste into feedstock for a biogas plant.

If you were already in this plant process operator role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:

  • Operating telehandlers to load waste into processing equipment
  • Operating a variety of processing equipment, including pressure washing of equipment and waste reception areas
  • Overseeing waste delivery vehicles, assisting the Engineering Team with repairs and projects
  • Recording data from site locations and equipment, taking and analysing samples of waste.

To apply for this Plant Operator role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

  • Experience operating machinery and tools
  • A telehandler operators license (training can be provided to an experienced candidate, though holding a license would be an advantage)
  • A good working attitude and a willingness to contribute to a range of tasks in a challenging environment that includes smells, noise and hazards
  • A willingness to learn the health and safety standards required for carrying out the role.
