Overview:
An exciting opportunity is available for a Process Team Leader to oversee and drive production operations at sites in Invergordon. This role is vital in ensuring that production targets are met, compliance standards are maintained, and a data-driven approach is adopted to support continuous improvement. The Process Team Leader will be responsible for daily operations, compliance, and team management, working closely with the Site Leader to meet budget and KPI targets.
The Role:
As the Process Team Leader, you will take charge of meeting production targets, managing process parameters, and supporting safe operational practices. Key responsibilities include daily KPI monitoring, collaboration with the technical and engineering teams, and coordination with suppliers and hauliers to maintain efficient operations. This position also involves training, managing process operators, and fostering a safety-first culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production targets, reporting progress and hosting daily production meetings.
- Collaborate with the Site Leader to set budgets and KPIs, implementing corrective actions to meet targets.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters with the technical team to maintain plant health and optimize performance.
- Ensure accurate data collation for process logs, downtime, and KPI tracking, enabling data-led decision-making.
- Communicate with suppliers to manage feedstock and chemical supplies, preventing backlogs and ensuring optimal operation.
- Produce monthly performance summaries covering Compliance, Quality, Yield, Costs, and People, among other metrics.
- Lead planning for shutdown periods, coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure clear communication of work scope and resources.
- Drive a safety culture within the team, ensuring compliance with legal and internal requirements and supporting company-wide safety initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience leading a team in a production or process environment, with strong organizational and planning skills.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and data analysis.
- Knowledge of safe systems of work, including experience with permit-to-work procedures.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to analyze and recognize trends to support data-led improvements.
- IT proficiency, particularly advanced Excel skills, with experience using management systems for process and compliance tracking.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential: HND in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience), strong background in Mathematics, full UK driver’s license.
- Preferred: IOSH safety certification, Six Sigma training, and experience in anaerobic digestion or related processes.
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with a track record of meeting production targets.
