As a SCADA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building a framework library for a consistent ‘look and feel’ for multiple AD sites, combining various OEM packages into one interface for operators. These site SCADA systems will be integrated into a central system with a control room providing 24/7/365 remote monitoring of all sites.
In your first few weeks in this SCADA Engineer role, you can expect to:
- Prepare technical specifications and documents
- Chair and attend internal and external design review and progress meetings
- Coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installations and construction teams
- Procure, deploy and test the SCADA system on sites
- Give internal training courses to operators and others.
To apply for this SCADA Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
- Good general IT skills (Office suite, MS project, Visio, etc)Experience with AVEVA System Platform (Formerly Wonderware)
- Experience interfacing with Siemens S7 PLCs, Modbus devices and OPC-UA
- Understanding of P&IDs and the workflow of operators
- Excellent communication skills.
